Song Lyric Sunday: A Million Dreams

Last month, I had the greatest joy of seeing The Greatest Showman (2017)Not once, but twice!

Of course, I loved the music. I grew up listening to musicals, so this was like a loving welcome back into that world again. And the characters were, oh, so relatable. Continue reading “Song Lyric Sunday: A Million Dreams”

Throwback Thursday: Goo Goo Dolls

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ and a half

If anything good came out of my first ever relationship with my ex-boyfriend, it would be that he got me into the Goo Goo Dolls.

He tried to get me into other bands, like the Foo Fighters, but they never stuck.

The Goos – as he called them – did.

I don’t know if it was because I had a huge aesthetic crush on Johnny Rzeznick at the time, or if it was genuinely because they made good music.

Song Lyrics

Song Lyric Sunday: So Alive

Feeling like a hero, but I can’t fly

No, you never crash, if you don’t try

Took it to the edge, now I know why

Never gonna live, if you’re too scared to die

Gonna disconnect from the hard wire

Time to raise a flag for the cease fire

Staring down the hole inside me

Looking in the mirror, making peace with the enemy

I’m so alive, I’m so alive, I’m so alive

You can make it on a wish if you want to

So Alive by the Goo Goo Dolls

Song Lyrics

Song Lyric Sunday: You Belong To Me

I’ll take the night train

I’ll take an airplane

Cuz you belong to me

I just wanna say

Not gonna let you get away

Cuz you belong to me

I wanna hold you

I wanna hold you

It was such an amazing, beautiful, and surreal night. I’ve seen Bryan Adams (BA) in concert a few times in my life, and this was the best I had ever seen him perform! He completely revamped all his classic songs, added in new ones from the new album “Get Up”, and a couple of covers, and gave countless of solo acoustic encores when the main set was over, which was such an incredible treat. He was so amazingly generous by singing to us for over three hours!
